This year the board has introduced a new grading system, on the decision of the Sindh government's Universities and Boards Department. The rule is simple, and it's worth knowing exactly, because it changes what "pass" means on your marksheet:

If you score less than 40 percent marks in a paper, you will be marked "Ungraded" in that paper — and you will not be considered successful in it. So a paper where you got, say, 32 percent is no longer a pass with low marks; it counts as not cleared, and you'll need to reappear in it. The same 40-percent rule was introduced for Karachi's intermediate Part-I results this year too, so it's a Sindh-wide change, not something this board made up on its own.

If your result shows "Ungraded" against a subject, don't panic — check with your school about the supplementary / reappearance schedule for that paper, and keep your roll number slip safe. You'll need it for the next attempt.

How to check your BISE SBA 9th class result

1. Open the board's website. Go to bisesba.edu.pk in your browser and look for the results section for Class IX Annual Examinations 2026.
2. Enter your roll number. Type it exactly as printed on your roll number slip — one wrong digit and you'll get someone else's result or nothing at all.
3. Or use the board's Android app. The board has its own Android application where results are also available. Download it from the Google Play Store by searching for the board's official app, and check there if the website is slow.
4. Save a copy. Take a screenshot or print your result the moment it loads. Board websites get very slow on result day, and having your own copy saves you from checking again and again.
5. Match it with your school. If anything looks wrong — a missing subject, a name spelling mistake — contact your school or the board office with your roll number slip in hand. Don't rely on a forwarded screenshot from a class group.

If you passed everything — mubarak ho, and start 10th class preparation with the same momentum.
